0:14not only is this a glamorous prom makeup look I’m going to give you some tips and
0:18tricks of how to make your makeup last longer and look amazing in photography
0:22and also this look is using all drugstore or affordable products
0:28I was initially going to do a gold and navy or silver Navy but i decided to go
0:33with a pop of color seeing as it is spring coming up so if you would like to

0:43so first starting off with this a freedom makeup pro studio priming water
0:48which is essentially the same thing as the Smashbox one
0:51the moving straight onto eyes I’m using the color tattoo in the crème de nude
0:55shade to put all over my eyelids so you want to make sure that this is a nice
0:59thin even layer because this is going to help the eyeshadow colors to pop and
1:04last all night which is definitely what we want for prom as an eye brow
1:09highlight and taking the sleek solstice highlight palette and I’m taking these
1:13three shades and i’m applying that to my brow bone
1:17these are very pigmented using your fingers but not as much with a brush so
1:21you want to just kind of build the color up until you’re happy with it
1:25next up I’m taking the barry m chisel cheek contour kit I believe they do a
1:29darker one now as well but i’m just using the original one and the middle
1:32shade first and applying that in to decrease of our eyes
1:37now these powders are so pigmented you want to go in with the lightest hand
1:41possible and then build up the color i actually find that going less in with
1:46any kind of product is much better because it’s easier to kind of manage
1:50then take the darkest shade from the same contour palette i’m working that
1:54into the crease so I’m trying to concentrate this color really in the
1:58crease of my eye socket rather than blending it out anywhere
2:01and what diffusing it out into I don’t know in tonight the top part of my
2:05eyelids I’m trying to keep it quite intense there now
2:08it took me ages to find a navy blue eye shadow in the drug store but this one
2:12I found it from 17 it’s from boots and it’s in the shade
2:16regal and what I’m doing is I’m packing this color onto my eyelids so I’m really
2:21pressing it in because this is going to help the pigmentation be really intense
2:25rather than wishy-washy because I wanted it to be every intense navy blue and i
2:29found that 17 and Revlon were the only two places that did like really good
2:35single eyeshadows which was quite surprising i’m taking a fluffy brush
2:39with a little bit of that same regal I shall just to blend out any harsh edges
2:43because we want to make sure that we’re blending and I shadowing like at the
2:47same time it’s just going to make things a lot easier
2:50I’m just intensifying that color a little bit more and just blending away
2:54until i’m happy with the way it was looking I initially wanted to do a gold
2:58and navy or silver Navy but this next Kiko eyeshadow stick in the shade 31 has
3:04been eyeing me up since I’ve got my hands on it so i’m applying this on to
3:09the inner kind of thirds of my eyelids and making sure that that’s kind of
3:13diffused in it to that navy color
3:16I didn’t want it to be like really blocky now taking periwinkle from a
3:19Revlon I am packing that color on top so again really pushing that color into the
3:24Kiko eyeshadow stick this is going to intensify the color but this is also
3:29going to make it last for so long because the Kiko eyeshadow sticks are
3:32insanely good because they’re so long lasting and i think that one of like the
3:38really like underrated products out there now taking the barium chisel
3:43contour kit again i’m taking the two colors the darker shades and blending
3:47that in to decrease to make sure everything is nice and blended and that
3:52there’s a nice transition from the color to the like brow bone so just spend your
3:57time working on blending everything out and as always if you feel like you need
4:03to intensify any areas then you can go ahead and do that so I’m just
4:06intensifying the eye look with a little bit more of that regal shade just to
4:11make sure it’s nice and deep and dark and and then again with the other
4:15parents need to make sure that that’s nice and bright as well
4:19I then moved on to my brows and you guys I’m not even going to be kidding you
4:24this freedom
4:25I made for your eyebrows in my particular one is the shade – Bronn is
4:29pretty much exactly the same as the anesthesia one
4:33it applies almost identical so this is definitely gonna make your eyebrows last
4:39all night long as well but we do need to make sure that they’re set in place so
4:42i’m using the loreal brow artist number just to make sure all of those eyebrow
4:46hairs are not going to budge
4:48are they going to be tamed all night long I’m still wiping away kind of the
4:52excess eyeshadow and creating kind of a crisp line underneath my eyes and just
4:57hiding everything up and clearing up any kind of fallout 4 prime I use the media
5:02post shave balm and i’m putting this all over my face this is an incredible
5:06primates are very very good and I’m kind of massaging that into my skin until it
5:11comes a little bit tacky but then to add that double layer of primer so that
5:16might make it likes its and sticks all night and i’m using the soap & Glory one
5:20heck of a block in the areas kind of like wear makeup tends to like slide
5:25around so that’s technically like the center part my face for foundation i
5:29used a mixture of the fit me and infallible
5:31Matt you can definitely use any foundation that you feel comfortable
5:35wearing the best tip I could give you is to blend with the Beauty Blender I know
5:39that’s not like drug store but it does wonders for your skin and also try and
5:44avoid using any foundation with SPF in it because that’s going to make your
5:48pictures look amazing and your skin look amazing as well
5:51how to make sure everything’s locked in place i’m using this Maybelline setting
5:55spray and I’m a first giving it a good shake spring on my beauty blender and
5:59then kind of pressing that in to my foundation and this is just going to
6:03give that extra added layer of kind of protection and like grip so that your
6:08bass stays put
6:10all night long and it’s not gonna be like messing around if you’re dancing
6:12and having a good time at prom
6:14then for concealer i’m using the maybelline age rewind concealer Maggie
6:18in the shade light and putting it in the usual areas of my face
6:22you can go a little bit heavy with this especially for special occasions because
6:26once everything is blended out and you’ve done your contour and highlight
6:29everything is going to look so beautiful on the skin so here I’m just blending
6:33everything out and making sure that the Beauty Blender is kind of taking
6:37any excess product and i totally forgot to moisturize my lips and just put in
6:43some lip balm on them and then i’m taking my kick-ass seven glory powder
6:47and i’m setting all the areas where we applied that
6:50Maybelline concealer and this again it hasn’t like weird blurring technology in
6:55it and it makes your skin look so like airbrush and pictures
6:59next we’re going to move on to contour i’m using the body shop shade adjusting
7:02drops in dark if you find that too dark you can actually mix in the light shade
7:06into it and i’m creating a cream contour so I’m putting a little bit on the back
7:11of my hand and then applying that with a duo fiber brush to the areas which I
7:15want to contour my face cream contour for me is definitely key especially when
7:20it’s like a special occasion because it’s gonna last so much longer
7:24and can you just go I see how natural and beautiful this product is it blends
7:29so easily
7:30I’m a massive fan of this have used this in quite a lot of other tutorials as
7:34well and but this is probably my favorite drugstore cream contour product
7:39it’s brilliant
7:40once I’ve contoured the usual areas that i like to contour
7:43I’m just going over them with the PT blender to make sure everything is
7:47really seamlessly blended into the skin then taking the barium chisel can talk
7:52it again
7:53I’m just taking a mixture of the two darker shades and setting the areas that
7:57we contoured in place this is again going to give it that extra Connor that
8:00staying power that’s going to last you all night
8:03this isn’t necessary but I just really like doing this i thought i’d kinda go
8:07full glam because it is like a prom makeup look
8:10then I’m going over the same areas again with that damp Beauty Blender and just
8:14making sure everything is nice and blended and that there are no weird
8:17harsh lines going on
8:18then it was time to add some highlight I’m using that same sleek solstice
8:22highlight panic again
8:24all three of the same powder products in there and it’s very very important to
8:29kind of layer this on because again i was like so impressed by this when i
8:33swatched it but when actually putting on my skin
8:35it wasn’t as highlighted as I wanted it to be so feel free to swap it with your
8:39favorite highlighter that I’m taking this max a blush in the shade lovely
8:43pink which is a really gorgeous like glowy pink colors it’s just going to
8:48make your cheeks and
8:49in and face just looks really nice and healthy and so just putting that on to
8:53the apples of my cheeks and for powder
8:56I am powdering my face i’m using the Bourjois healthy balance powder i rarely
9:01powder my face but only on special occasions when I need my makeup to last
9:04longer
9:05I’m literally just tapping the brush in to the product and kind of squishing it
9:09on my face and because i don’t want it to look too heavy
9:13next up we are moving onto one of my favorite parts of this look I’m taking
9:17that same key code eyeshadow stick and i’m applying that to my inner water line
9:22and this is gonna add the most beautiful insane
9:26pop of color to the like eyes it’s so incredible i was going to like mix this
9:31up with gold or silver but i just love this color so I’m doing that instead and
9:35then going over that area with the periwinkle eyeshadow just on the lash
9:39line so not really going away and like diffusing it out really crazy but just
9:44kind of intensifying that color there and I was going to leave it like this
9:48but then I realized it’s just looking a bit too bright under there
9:52so then I took that regal shade from 17 and I applied that just to the outer
9:57corners so that there’s nice like kind of a ombre effect from like a little bit
10:01of Darkness to that bright
10:02periwinkle shade moving on to a lashes i’m using the L’Oreal Paris of false
10:08lash sculpt mascara
10:10you can totally use a waterproof mascara to be quite honest i’m waiting for
10:14l’oreal to bring up a waterproof version of this because this is like hands down
10:18my favorite mascara ever and that takes a lot me saying this because last year
10:22it used to be the lash sensational mascara but this is definitely blown it
10:26out of the water
10:27so I’m adding about just over one layer of that on to my top lashes and then
10:31also coating my lower lashes as well we’ve got two lips i’m using Eastern
10:36snob lip liner by Rimmel I’m not only lining my lips but i’m also filling them
10:41in again this is going to help your lipstick last a lot longer so definitely
10:47do like not only line them filled them in as well for lipstick
10:52I actually went in with this one which is coffee craze by Maybelline
10:56and this you guys is probably one of my favorite cool tones like nudie brown
11:00shades in the drugstore arena and I really really enjoyed that then I
11:04realized I definitely wanted to put some eyeliner on I totally forgot I kind of
11:08felt like I wasn’t going to do it and then I was like something is definitely
11:11missing in this looks so I’m taking the skin
11:15many felt skin maybe there isn’t then skinny belt
11:19I line up from the body shop and I’m just going ahead and lining my eyes and
11:23creating a little wing as well whenever I have my eye shadow and everything done
11:28and I forget to put my eyeliner on I always do the wing first and then the
11:32line but i will leave a link to my eyeliner tutorial and which is really in
11:37depth in the infobox below
11:40and then the last step was to add some lashes here i’m using the ideal 141
11:45lashes and that you guys is the look complete

11:54navy and gold or navy and silver look because after this Kiko eyeshadow it was
11:59just it was calling my name so I’m really sorry about that but you can
12:02always swap that shade for like a gold or silver but i really hope you guys
