Classic Bridal Updo: Hair Style Tutorial

0:23first going to do is brush out all of the tangles and knots in the hair and
0:29apply a heat protectant to the ends of the hair
0:32we’re going to curl the hair in order to make it easier to work with for this up

0:40and i find it much longer lasting
0:43if you use a dry shampoo to the scalp of the hair
0:47prior to doing it up to this is going to prevent your hair from looking greasy
0:51and oily at the end of the day as well as it adds a little bit more volume
1:00I’m apply it to the roots and then massaging into the scalpel the hair and
1:04then making sure that it is distributed evenly throughout the whole entire head

1:17next using your favorite way to curl your hair either with rollers a curling
1:23iron or a curling wand like I am just curl your hair it doesn’t have to be
1:28perfect it doesn’t have to go any certain order
1:32the reason why we’re calling the hair is so that it can give you texture so it
1:36will be easier to create this up do as I find that adding heat to your hair
1:42really makes it shiny

2:17we’re going to split the top ground area for teasing

2:35using thin layers we’re going to spray hairspray to the roots and then start

2:42you can use any type of brush I find that any brush really does do the work
2:47what’s really important is how you pick these sections for the hair
2:53you don’t want to go to at the center and the portion is too small then you
2:59would have like a cone shape head and you don’t want that

3:04what we want is to grab the portion the majority across the head
3:08that’s going to really help with creating that fullness and the volume
3:18now we’re going to take the section that we’ve already teased and we’re going to
3:25smooth the edges and twist the bottom loosely twist and then tuck it under
3:31this is going to give you that perfect volume for the top of the hair once you
3:38find it to be perfectly placed start Bobby pinning all of it in place make
3:43sure that it’s very secure
3:45I like to crisscross the bobby pins to ensure that it is really really secure
3:49you don’t want it to fall at the end of the day depending on your length of pair
3:56for the enzyme like to twist it and then tuck it under the bump that we just made

4:07now dividing the bottom section into three and we’re going to work with the
4:12center section first using one-inch sections of your hair
4:16loop it around your fingers but loosely and then just using potty pins to place
4:21it in different directions
4:24we don’t want to look uniform the Messier the better i find and the loser
4:28it is it’s going to look more romantic
4:34you don’t want anyone to look at the hair and notice where it starts and
4:38begins
4:39so you can look through the holes that you’ve already aid and just place it in
4:44place wherever you’d like
4:47there isn’t really a formula to this
4:51look you just kind of go along with the hair depending on the length of hair
4:55that you have if you have longer hair and of course you’re going to have to
5:00loop the hair around your fingers
5:02more than once and of course if it doesn’t work out the first time that
5:06you’ve already looped it around you can just undo it and start over again for
5:12each loop and then on the side i find it to be a lot more challenging because you
5:18don’t want it to be too tight because then the look won’t look as romantic and
5:22effortless
5:23so what I do is I roll until the end and leave it loosely
5:29then I’ll pin it to the side of the hair make sure everything is in place and
5:37we’re almost finished
5:40you can leave your hair like this or you can actually accessorize it with a
5:44beautiful flower or a hairpiece like I am I like to apply it to the side of the
5:50hair so you can still see the beautiful volume on the top and then make sure you
5:56secure it with some bobby pins
5:58we ran out of blonde color bronze bobby pins so I’m unfortunately having to use
6:05black ones but of course if your hair is dark
6:08use the bobby pin accordingly
6:15now moving on to the bangs
6:19I like to use my straightener to crawl the bangs to give it the most natural
6:23look this way there isn’t any crease and it’s much easier to maneuver in order to
6:31make the hair look more effortless
6:34I to talk the bangs in with a bobby pin to hide any type of bobby pins that you
6:40need to use for the mates
6:42and that is the in finished look it looks beautiful just like this without
6:47any other accessory
6:49but of course a broader look would not be completed without a veil so right
6:54where we did the twist to tuck away the ends
6:58that’s a perfect place to place in the veil and you just left the veil little
7:04bit and my secret trick is to spray a little bit of hairspray into the veil so
7:10that it will stay in place and that is the finished look I hope you guys
