MUMMY DIY Halloween Costume & Makeup Tutorial

MUMMY DIY Halloween Costume & Makeup Tutorial

0:33hello my fam bein it is officially October which means we’re fast
0:38approaching the best day of the year for halloween this year we’re going really
0:41creepy with the classics starting with the money i’ve always been fascinated
0:46with real-life well not a whole lot of life in there but real money and i’m
0:51having the different representations of them are a big part of Halloween this
0:54look is gross but can be really simple for beginners and all you need is some
0:58liquid latex cosmetic paint and a couple products that you can find at any local
1:02drugstore let’s get to the cane before we get wound up in the costuming part of
1:07this will need to work on our face for that rotting few hundred years old and
1:10moisturizing enough kind of book you will need liquid latex you can find this
1:15at any pop-up halloween store online or make up stories and you’ll need some
1:19white tissue paper like the kind of shove and get things you want to begin
1:22tearing your tissue paper into different sized pieces some smaller some larger
1:26and the important thing to note here is that you never want your tissue paper to
1:29have a clean straight edge those will be easy to find on your face because they
1:33look so out of place with this sort of look you want a jagged edge like this a
1:37trick to getting that easily is to scrunch together the side with the
1:40Straight Edge grab that edge twist a little and rip it off
1:44voilà jagged AF they don’t call me spikey mikey fund nothin anyway then i’m
1:49using a disposable wet sponge to apply a generous coat of liquid latex to a
1:52portion of my face don’t use latex on brushes because chances are you’ll ruin
1:56them
1:56so stick to things that you can toss after all the latex is still what you
2:00want to lay down a piece of turnip tissue paper right on top
2:02lightly scratching and pushing it together so it gets brinkley this is
2:05what creates are decaying texture sealed by applying another generous could’ve
2:09latex on top of that make any adjustments you want in the wrinkles
2:12before it dries as you work be careful around your eyes and mouth latex can be
2:16used very close to both as that’s what makeup artist for decades have been
2:19doing for old age stippling around the eyes and mouth but you definitely don’t
2:22want to get it in your eyes or ingested and frankly if you got your latest from
2:26halloween store the ammonia smell will be so strong and probably wouldn’t want
2:29to get it anywhere near there anyway what you can do around the mouth to
2:32avoid getting it on your actual lips and what you’ll see me doing here is to
2:35quickly text right below your lip
2:37then place a piece of tissue paper down on that there will be tall enough to
2:40cover your lips then only add links on the top side of that to seal it also be
2:45very careful when working around your eyebrows and hair line because latex and
2:48hair can turn into an accidental whacking session if you’re not paying
2:50attention cut your brows with petroleum jelly and apply latex below and above
2:54the brow connecting if I laying one big piece of tissue paper over top
2:58this is completely optional but I like variety so if you do to you can always
3:02add other things to the latex to create different textures and using pieces of
3:06cotton in the same way the tissue paper but you could also use different things
3:09like dry cereal lentils ground coffee etc cover your entire face or at least
3:16the parts of your face that you know will be sticking out after you wrap
3:19yourself up
3:20I wasn’t sure the time what I was gonna do so to be safe I just did the whole
3:23thing you can also go down your neck chest arms whatever you think might be
3:27showing your final costume for the sake of this tutorial I just face and neck
3:30but be warned if you go down your arms don’t forget about the hair on your arms
3:35with that latex or you’ll be screaming no Kelly Clarkson by the end of the
3:39night when you’re covered in latex is dry it’s time to paint around my eyes
3:43and using cream paint but mostly everywhere else i’m using alcohol
3:46activated paints which require the use of ninety-nine percent alcohol but you
3:49can use literally anything skin-safe that you have creamer greasepaint from
3:53halloween store I shadows whatever and to paint this is really simple
3:58we’re going for that very specific shade that I believe was in the 96 passive
4:02crayola crayons called in bond st corpse brown you know about that one
4:07you must have used it again I’m using washes of Browns pale skin tones and a
4:11little bit of black to create that overall muted brownish gray stone
4:14there’s a lot of texture in this makeup so utilize that to the fullest don’t
4:17just paint the whole thing one shade of brown when you can let the darker brown
4:20sink into the ridges and go over the raised areas with gray or ivory it is
4:25some extra little things like there’s some planes just on my hairline ears
4:28added some dark shadows to my eyes and mouth but when you’re happy with the
4:31overall punjab we can move on to the bandages pretty self-explanatory I know
4:35you’re thinking but there’s a couple things you can do to make this part
4:37better with your creepy face i’m using God’s I brought from rite aid and this
4:41cheese cloth material also found him ready to use as my bandages about so
4:45many packs that the lady ringing me up know exactly where this is going
4:48I actually wish the average drugstore have less high-quality God like the type
4:52that’s a really thin and easy to see through but dang technology nowadays
4:56this will just have to give you can still tear it up a bit pull it apart
4:59holes in it and for once I put my always healthy make a pans to good use by
5:03dirtying up those pristinely white bandages if you need to dirty them up
5:07more with paint do so if you need a bobby pin them to your head tie them in
5:11the back or glue them to your face of a little adhesive experiment pros-aide go
5:14for it i popped in a creepy white mesh contact pain in my chest and arms with
5:19black and brown paint and modestly covered myself in Gaza cheesecloth with
5:23just a little bit of sexy dried-out flesh poking term overall it’s a pretty
5:27comfy costume and bonus points if you’re going to a halloween party where they
5:30will be black light you’ll blow so hard it’ll make up for all the glowing your
